AristaCare at Meadow Spring’s unique approach to wound care focuses heavily on constant risk assessment and prevention, as well as aggressive treatment.

Physical Therapy is actively involved in wound care at Meadow Springs Center. Physical therapists are part of the Wound Team that completes wound rounds weekly on all the patients with wounds in the Center. Electrical stimulation is a modality that we use to promote healing by transferring electrical energy to a wound to increase circulation and provide a bacteriosidal effect to promote healing. This type of electrical stimulation has been widely researched as a treatment for wounds. The physical therapists are also involved in evaluating new wound care dressings and products along with the nursing and wound care teams.
